The darker red colors describe owners who have the most value of properties, while the size of the square depicts the number of properties in posession; both variables can be seen in the interactive hover feature. It is seen that Smith College by far has the most valuable properties even though it does not have the most number of properties. There is also a positive correlation between number of properties and the value of those properties. However, there are instances of owners with a relatively low number of properties, but whose value is very high, such as Northampton Housing Authority.
